brooke and mike - private residence, santa monica

So I LOVE when a bride and I hit it off right from the start...at that first meeting we just connect in ways that allow me to really see what their personal style is and what they are envisioning for their wedding day...it just makes the design process so much fun because it's like working with one of your old college girlfriends...

I had that connection with Brooke almost instantly and this wedding was such a joy to be a part of. Thank you Brooke and Mike for reminding me why I love what I do!

The event was coordinated by the lovely ladies of Mary Dann, Wedding and Party Coordinators, rentals handled by Town and Country, linens and napkins by Elegant Designs...The delicious dinner and wine pairings were provided by Joan's on Third and the whole event was shot beautifully by Asgeir Fotographica.

candice and travis - hotel bel air

=

While installing the decor for Candice and Travis' wedding day, there was a definite energy, a magic in the air...you couldn't help but feel it. It was such an intimate gathering of friends and family...not necessarily because of the guest count or the size of the space, but because of the love and emotion these people had for each other. Even though I am a part of weddings all the time, I absolutely felt the butterflies that day.

Now I almost didn't take the job because it was the same day as me and Brian's 3 year anniversary and I thought maybe we would be out of town that weekend to celebrate. But after meeting Candice and Travis, I felt such a strong chemistry, how could I say no?

Amy and Stuart did a phenomenal job capturing the details of the day and Leila Khalil of Be Inspired Events made sure the event flowed seamlessly...I normally don't play favorites but this really was one of my favorite clients and one of my favorite weddings to be a part of!

ceremony magazine bash - rancho las lomas

Leila Khalil and I with the beautiful and talented Jasmine Star (one of the best up and coming photographers in the biz!)
Side Note: This was one of my FAVORITE parties of the year! A gorgeous venue (Rancho Las Lomas), 5 different caterers, 10 piece band, cake tastings, floral tablescapes by some of my favorite designers, cigar rollers, and of course, the most talented vendors in the business to chat the night away with!

Ceremony Magazine really knows how to throw a party!

jennifer and howard - la quinta resort and spa

Okay so I am kinda obsessed with the desert...I used to be one of those people who never could see the beauty in all that sand and heat but now it's one of my favorite go-to getaways...so although it's a pretty long drive, I don't mind taking the trip out a couple times a year to design a wedding. Plus, it's always a chance to hit up the Desert Hills Premium Outlets on the way home!

For this New Year's Eve wedding at La Quinta Resort and Spa, I was fortunate enough to be able to work with Mary Dann, Wedding and Party Coordinators and Jack Caputo Photography. And also fortunate enough to indulge in a Sacred Stone massage on New Year's Day :)
